Description

Potential Future Colleagues,

Wow, Parabola looks like a novel venture, and definitely the right play for the decade! I am very excited for the near-future of automation, and eager to have a hand in adopting/establishing norms and conventions for delivering reliable AI output. I think someone with a couple years’ experience in Release Engineering for, eg Pivotal’s Cloud Foundry (2012) and PKS (2020) could have a significantly positive impact on the maintainability of large, and continuously-growing architecture. To the best of my knowledge, it remains to be seen how “agentic” are best orchestrated, let alone debugged.

Anyone who has worked with me knows I am both an enthusiastic and compassionate communicator; “strong opinions, weakly held” is a mantra that biases me towards action, but never towards steamrolling colleagues. Huh, it just occurs to me that this attitude exhibits some resemblance to the Jidoka principle of Andon)—giving team-members “the authority to stop the production line because of a suspected quality issue”—which has directly inspired modern CI practices. Is this not table stakes for maintaining a high-uptime, continuously-delivered codebase?

Ok, but enough about 80-year-old assembly-line practices. I’m looking to join a thoughtful, prolific software team whose responsibilities are driven by user research and customer validation, to which I can contribute the fruits of my 10+ years designing, implementing, shipping, and validating web applications—as well as the fruits of LLM experimentation & research into RAG, structured output, and even some advanced techniques like using circuit-tracing to evade “jailbreaks” and keep LLMs on task.

Thanks for considering my application.
